A word from Dr. Jerry Dreessen
Yes, this unique technique and everything that goes with it – from the initial exam and diagnostic procedures – to how we mark x-rays and the follow-up routine is all part of our family secret. I come from a family of Chiropractors that have been in practice over the last 50+ years.
In this course you will learn our family secret adjustment to achieve the following results in your patients. As you well know back pain is the most common reason people have been seeking our help for all these years. Over those years my father perfected a technique up until now is relatively unknown in chiropractic circles for treating low back pain. This unique treatment will have your patients feeling instantly better and best of all they will be telling everyone they know.
After falling out of an upper level barn door and breaking his back, my dad was in a body brace his entire senior year in high school. He was told that he’d have to live with back pain the rest of his life - that is until he went to a chiropractor. Over the course of the summer, my dad’s low back pain left him and with that started his newest endeavor, to become a chiropractor himself. Taking the insurance money he received, he enrolled at Palmer in Iowa, and was there for the last years of B.J. Palmer and his lectures. After getting married, having a few kids (I was one of them) he set out to start a practice north of Seattle WA, where his wife was from. Taking what he had learned from school, and the DC that treated him for his back injuries, he was able to come up with his plan and techniques for treating low back pain.
When I started my practice, my dad walked me through his program - and it wasn’t anything I had ever seen in school - and it made total sense - from the consultation, exams and x-ray findings, to the specific order of the combinations of low back adjustments to give the patient - and that’s how I learned about the High Sacrum IN/EX Ilium fixation.
My Dad's form of marketing was - “come back on Monday.” When my dad was in practice, it was ILLEGAL to advertise. The only thing you were allowed was a single line in the yellow pages, and a sign on your door. My dad would grab his 3x5 cards with his patient's names and phone numbers on them, and call the ones he hadn't seen in a while to see how they were doing. The ones that came in were given a great adjustment, talked about how they felt better, and my dad would finalize the visit with when he wanted to see them again. If it was a car accident, or slip and fall, or a minor injury, he'd say "see you in 2 days" or "next week" or if it was a Friday, he's often say "Things a doing better, come back on Monday". As time went on, the state chiropractic association allowed to use BOLD in our yellow pages listings, add more lines, and then finally large ads that were in color. We had newspaper and radio ads that became available. We could finally live BJ Palmer's phrase, "Early to bed, early to rise, work like hell and advertise - makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise" to its fullest. That is, until the internet was born - that was a whole new frontier in advertising and marketing.
I was at a BNI meeting back in the 90's and asked one of the members, who was a webpage developer, how to get my website on page 1 of the search engines. When he told me flat out that it was impossible, my innate created and accepted my next challenge: to prove him wrong. The internet was the wild frontier, and after many courses and classes, my business was the ONLY one you could see on the first 3 pages of Google for not only the city I was in, but the surrounding cities that I served too. It was a glorious thing to behold.
Unfortunately it's no longer possible to own that many pages anymore, but the way to achieve multiple pages for multiple keywords still exists, and I have taken those techniques and included them in this course. Facebook and Google PPC are making it tough to market our practices with phrases like "are you suffering from back pain?", but this course is not about paid ads. It's about organic ads - it's about how you can rank on the first page of the search engines without it costing anything to get clicked on.
Over the 30 years I’ve been in practice, I have seen dozens of new patients with back pain that had seen other chiropractors and didn’t get relief for their low back pain. 90% of those patients qualified for the techniques I teach in the course. Once they receive their adjustments, stand, and start to walk, I start to see big smiles on their faces as they start to walk without pain - pain that was there for months...and sometimes years! And then they turn to me and say “Why didn’t the last chiropractor I saw know how to do this?” After hearing this one phrase over and over, it dawned on me that not everyone learned this in chiropractic college - including me!

The Cause of a High Sacrum
What are the main causes for a high sacrum, and why it’s important to dig deeper into your consultation with your patient to find the true root cause of their low back pain.
Symptoms of a High Sacrum
Patients can present with a multitude of back pain symptoms. In this video I talk about common symptoms that I have encountered as a result of this fixation.
High Sacrum Exams
In this module, I walk you through the exact combination of tests to help “smoke out” the sacral fixation. It can also be felt by the patient when you are doing it, which makes it perfect to use as a re-test to prove change has happened. I have also incluced a PDF download of the images for you to print out and study.
How To Mark X-rays for High Sacrum EX:IN Illium
In this video, I talk about the key lines to draw on an X-ray and what they mean. Once the X-ray has been marked, you can show the patient where the problem is, and why they feel the way they do. This also helps you design the proper care pathway for their road to recovery.
Treatment Program
This treatment protocol was not taught in school. I put together a few pathways based on the objective and subjective findings. The main goal is to restore function, as well as eliminate pain – but the only thing YOU can really affect is the function of the joint, and as it begins to restore, then the pain will decrease.
Adjusting Techniques
Once the treatment protocols are in place, you’ll learn the proper adjustment techniques. It is all about the proper order, as well as the technique. I’ll demonstrate all the techniques on a spine, as well as a human model.
